I need potty training help!!!

My son is 2.5 and he has had a potty since he was 10 months he began coming in the bathroom with us and showing interest which is why we brought it but we never really forced him to potty train we just felt it was to early. We now feel like it is time for him to be trained he has cotton underwear we put him on the potty from time to time but we really don’t know where to began. Our son comes to me with wipes and a pull-up and says “mom change my diaper please” at that moment I told my husband if he can do and say all that it’s time for him to get on the potty and start training we just need some help please!
