Relationship advice

Me and my boyfriend of 2 years decided to take a break so we can focus on finding jobs and ourselves. And I'm kinda nervous😰 because I'm scared to lose him. But I always felt like us in a relationship right now wasn't working because we focused on each other to much and not finding jobs now that we are 19 and 20 years old ( I'm the 20 year old ) it's time to grow up right. I need all the advice and help I can get please
