Cry Pretty

My 2.5 year old son is sitting in his bed right now on timeout for spitting, hysterically crying, “I want daddy!”

I’m 36 weeks pregnant crying in a chair in the living room listening to him bc every time I go to comfort him and try to talk to him about spitting, he spits again and tells me to, “WALK AWAY, MAMA!”

Husband just called to tell me that for the next three weeks, he has to work 10-12 hour days, an hour away, plus Saturdays - meaning he’ll get home about a half hour before bedtime. I cannot fathom doing this with my usually sweet little boy during the last month of my pregnancy (without dad around to help out). Did I mention he’s pushing 40lbs (he’s a tall kiddo) and I can barely pick him up? Did I mention I can barely walk due to sciatic issues from my pregnancy?

Ugh!

I can do this, right?!

*I know some mamas are in worse/tougher situations than this, I’m just feeling tired (long day at work) and overwhelmed.
