How soon or how long did it take?

For your significant other to meet your child or children? 
Do you regret it? If so, why?

Yup because my ex murdered my daughter. BIGGEST regret was meeting him

I think it really depends on the child...I think parents are really good at picking up when an okay time is for an introduction. 
My siblings and I are all adults, and recently my mum met someone. 
Usually, people think the youngest is the most sensitive. I’m 18, and I was introduced to him first at our house a month after they started seeing each other. We get along great and I’m one to actually take interest in my partner’s lives. 
My brother is 24 and was introduced a month and a half into them dating. Same setting. He’s not into interacting with mum’s partners so it’s whatever. 
However, my sister is 30 and doesn’t know he exists. She’s very protective over my mum, and is overwhelmed as it is with 2 kids. 
My mum knows us all really well so knows when and how to introduce him to us. But, we’re all adults. I have no idea how I would go about this with young ones in all honesty

So we’re long distance, but we FaceTime a lot and my daughter sees him and gets so happy. (Only 1 btw). He’s going to meet her on thanksgiving.

We waited exactly six months for me to meet my now stepdaughters. Six months later I moved into an apartment down the street from them. And six months after that I was playing soccer with them and asked how they’d feel if I moved in with them (as discussed with my bf at the time). Our relationship was pretty strong at that point and they were both thrilled. Blending is no easy feat but we do have an amazing family dynamic 3.5 years later. 
Their mom is who is in and out of marriages and relationships recently cheated on her live in fiancé, moved the girls in with a new guy after six weeks of dating, and the whole thing exploded. My 11 yr old SD was blamed for being disrespectful and awful by the new bf when in reality, the kid is just getting too old to be jerked around like that. It was wayyyy too fast and this guy tried to discipline them like his kids. All rookie mistakes. 
Long story short, the slower the better. The first six months for us was to make sure we would last forever. That we were the real deal. Take this seriously as death because every relationship that comes along and doesn’t work out hurts them more than the adults.
