How many vials did they take for glucose test?

My doctor took 2 vials for the 1-hour test. Seemed a bit excessive when most diabetics check their blood sugar levels with a finger prick?

They also recheck for anemia and in some place where syphilis cases are high they retest that as well.

I believe they did 4 on my one hour. But I got checked for other things when I did my 3 hour I would get one every hour.

Mine also took two small ones but they were testing other things (iron levels, etc.) as well.

I had 5 when I did the 2hour test. 3 doesn’t up, then 1 after an hour and another 1 after a further hour.

I can’t remember but I know it was definitely more than one. They tested me for other stuff too, though. Although oddly enough they didn’t tell me about it? I don’t even care that they tested for other things; I’m just annoyed I wasn’t made aware of it. All of these were tested on 4/29 and then again this past Monday in addition to the glucose: I got bloodwork results for RPR, HIV, and a complete blood count. I was unaware that I have to get multiple blood tests for those things. So needless to say, I know there were multiple vials. I only glanced and didn’t get a count, though.

I haven’t had mine yet but I asked if it’s a finger poke and they said most doctors now do blood work to check for iron & stds as well. I denied the STD testing “I just got tested with my Pap smear & was tested through blood around 9 weeks pregnant. But that could be why they took more🤷🏻‍♀️

For my 1 hour, they took 2... one before and one an hour after. For the 3 hour, they take 4. One before, one after an hour, one after 2 hours and then again after 3 hours.
