What to do.

Question

So my boyfriend read that we shouldn't be pushing and carrying our son around the house cause if we want him to learn to walk he needs to be on the floor and near things to help him up but he just doesnt want to use his legs but my grandparents like to pick him up and hold him and tell me I'm wrong with what I'm doing and he'll learn in his own time hes 7 months old btw

There is nothing wrong with carrying him but play time on the floor is definitely important for development. I think balance is important.

Kids will walk when they’re ready. My first didn’t even crawl until 8 months and walked at 12 months. I babywore all the time but I don’t think that hindered or delayed her in anyway.

When my 2nd son was born we were living somewhere where I literally couldn't put him down. I had to hold him ALL the time. (Due to animals I didn't trust letting him crawl around on floor)  He never crawled but was walking by 10 months. We didn't use a Walker much but he used a push behind toy thing and picked up walking super fast. Every baby is differant though!

My son is also 7 months and we push/carry him all the time! We do tummy time everyday though, that helps them learn to crawl and pull themselves up.
