Crib or playard? 🤔

Sooo I’m due in 2 weeks an I have everything well almost everything lol I just need a place to put my baby to sleep but idk which would be more better an convenient for me the crib ? Or the playard? My dad is going to buy it for me told me to choose whichever I want but idk what to choose what do you all think I should choose n why ? 😁

I’ve always chose crib for my babies. It’s a more permanent solution because eventually you will need to buy a crib and all the cribs now a days are convertible so you can use them for infant, toddler, and even a full size bed in the future

Crib. Think about it like this ...would you rather have a bed to sleep in or a cot?  A crib will last until they're even in college if you get a convertible one!

I used a playpen for my daughter and did exactly what another mama on here said. I bought her the mattress, sheets and everything. When she was almost two and wanted to get in and out when she was up or tired I cut the netting off one side. Didn't get her an actual bed till she was bunked in the same room with her sister.

In my opinion, we personally chose a play yard. We used to own cribs, and I much prefer a playpen.  Play yard can be a permanent solution too, not just a crib. They have the bouncer seats with the play yard, and changing pads/ table. Once you take that off, the baby sleeps on the pad at the top part for a while, then you move the pad to the bottom when the child starts sitting up. My daughter who is going to be 2 in a couple of weeks, still sleeps in her play pen. We bought her a  play pen mattresses for  her bed, with sheets, and blankets. She loves her bed. 
The baby will also sleep in a playpen.

Every baby is different and sometimes your plans go out the window!  I was gifted a beautiful crib and my now 4 year old never once slept in it.  The play yard worked well for us and when she outgrew that... she was in our bed unfortunately.  We ended up just getting her a low twin bed at around 2 & 1/2 and that was that.

I would say crib but a small portable bassinet to put close by for the first few months until baby is big enough for crib.

Thank you all ladies for you opinions but yea I think I’m just going to have my dad get me the crib an if later on I feel like I need the play pin then I will get it cuz my mom is also getting me the swing / bouncer so I can have her there an I already do have a small bassinet so she can be close to me 🥰❤️

Depends on your preference I would say. I did a crib in my bedroom and playard for the living room
