Normal?

My son was born at 33w.

I noticed, about a week after birth, some of his skin was fused together. Places like his neck, armpits, groin...basically wherever skin is folded over on itself on his body. None of the doctors or nurses seemed bothered by it and there was so much else going on that I never remembered to ask about it.

He’s 3 weeks old now and I notice some of it is starting to separate and looks very raw and painful. I’ve been putting my boobease ointment on it to help it separate easier and promote healing.

Is this a preemie thing? Or is my son just odd? 😂
