Turns out I was slightly high on my 1hr so they sent me for the 3hr....before I even got back to work they called with the results and said I failed. I asked for the numbers because I wanted to know how bad it was

Fasting 96/cutoff 95, 1hr 241/cutoff 180, 2hr 147/cutoff 153, 3hr 103/cutoff 140.

They are counting the 96 and 241 as reasons for failing. :-( The 96 is ONE POINT over! I get that I'm 36, overweight and have high BP (which is under control still), and that they want the baby and me to be safe...but I'm kind of annoyed at the Gestational Diabetes diagnosis based on an extra point.

I know the 241 is a high number but you have to fail two draws in one test to get the diagnosis and I feel like 1 point is hardly a fail. They aren't concerned with the baby being too big, they said I'm right on track. They now want me to meet with an endocrinologist regularly, prick my finger daily (for which I have to buy the testing device) and add more appointments. My insurance isn't great so this is all out of pocket. I want my baby to be safe, but this seems excessive.

I'm a first time mom, so anyone else out there with GD experience or advice would be appreciated.
