Im the Human Resources Director at my company and this is the number one complaint with employees. The thing is you chose to work at your company. They don’t have to appreciate you. They have to PAY you. Most people don’t know how expensive it is the have employees. Even down to insurance. Over half is company paid. So maybe a good job or thank you would help but at the end of the day you’re being paid for your work.

I do. I know my role is important and how it affects outcomes. But, i dont expect appreciation or recognition for simply doing what's required of me. That's my job. My company though, is very good at giving recognition to people who go above and beyond.
