So I have an embarrassing but common problem that I’ve put off seeing a doctors about for a loooong time but I really need to get it sorted, the only problem is that I know I’ll probably need some aspect of surgical procedure to sort it and will need a hospital appointment.

I can’t tell work that I have a hospital appointment because they’ll want to know the reason and I am in no way comfortable telling them. What on earth can I actually say? We’re a small staffed, close team and I would hate to lie but I don’t have much of a choice, I would

Have zero dignity left if I told them why I need to go hospital.

What can I do? Someone please give a bit of insight
