How many clothes?

My baby boy is due December 2nd, so im just starting to buy clothes for him to wear.
My question is how many newborn outfits do you think i should buy and how many 0-3 months. How long did it take your baby to outgrow their newborn clothes? Also since it will be cold should i even bother buying any short sleeve ones?

When I was pregnant with my first, I saw a post about 3 pieces of clothing a day, for 7 days (ideal for those who do laundry weekly) and it came out to be perfect. Babies spit up, throw up and have poopsies in their clothes very often so 3/day is pretty realistic lol. I really recommend zip-up onesies versus buttons because at the wee hours of the night when you’re half asleep and baby is covered in poo, zipping up and down is SOOO easy lol

That’s my sons birthday! He will be 9. I used a lot of zip up footie pieces since it was cold. He stayed into 0-3 for maybe 2 months. He was a big baby.

My son was gotten TONS of clothes but we only used pajamas for the first couple months and he had 1 nicer outfit for special stuff. I wouldn't get too much especially for newborn stage
