Satan fruit

I have recently gotten into foraging and today I found Kousa Dogwood fruit which is edible. I had to make the ID first so I haven't tried it myself but the inside smells like a pumpkin. My SO is calling it satan's fruit because he is so weirded out by how it looks. I think it's cool!

P.S. sorry for my hands they got stained by black walnut processing, they're totally clean but do not look it slightly rn lol
