Anybody signed up for income driven repayment plan for your student loans?

I signed up for it because I’m going through financial difficulties right now and now I see interest keeps adding on to my loans even though I pay a little every month now. My loan is slowly but surely going back up uggh. And I heard I would have to owe a lot of money on my taxes when I file

I meant to hit yes. 
I'm struggling to understand. I applied last month, paid the interest that was due, but still have a bill even though my IDRP was $0 for 13 months.. imma have to call these b holes tomorrow. Doesnt make sense.

Your loan will always accrue interest, whether you're paying the regular payment, in forbearance, in deferment, or on IDR.  They airways read this disclaimer and send it in writing every time you make any kind of change.  It will not affect your taxes.

What I do when in those situations is apply for a loan forbearance and pay a little each month. When your loan is on forbearance you don’t pay anything but when you do pay something it goes towards the interest so your loan repayment amount doesn’t increase
