Boring?

So my boyfriend and I have been going out for 3 months. So still fairly new. I love him to death he is so sweet to me (I got out of a abusive relationship last year). One thing that bothers me is we don't have anything to talk about over text and sometimes even in person to person but rarely person to person we can usually figure something out. I feel like the thing is we should be able to just have conversation flow naturally over text because we are dating. I don't want to be boring to him. Any suggestions or is this the same for anyone else?
