Anyone taking the mini pill or has taken it?

I'm 9 weeks pp tomorrow but my period hasn't arrived yet. I've been prescribed the mini poll to start taking when it does start. What are your experiences with it? I've read it's not as successful which is a bit worrying. I definitely don't want another baby. I have a nearly 3 year old and nearly 9 week old.

I wasn't told I had to wait for my period to start to take it. I started it 3 weeks ago after my 6 week appointment.  I also don't want another as we now have 2 boys- also almost 3 and 10 weeks. My husband's vasectomy is scheduled for November so I will only have to take the pill till around February.

I took it between my first and second baby. Before my first baby and now I have an IUD. The mini pill is slightly less effective, but still good, just make sure to take it at almost the exact same time every day ( I think it’s a 1 or 2 hour window). My periods were a bit all over the place with it.

I wasnt told to wait. With my first born, I didn't get a period for 13 months. I've been taking the mini pill for 1 week now. So far I've noticed nothing. The insert did say if you missed your time by 3 hours you need backup protection, so I have an alarm on my phone to take it at 10am every day.
