Why do you think voter turnout is so low in Texas? I wonder if we changed the way election campaigns are conducted, if it would increase.

People dont want to vote for the lesser of two bad candidates anymore.

I don’t know about Texas specifically, but in general, our elections are not set up to get high turn out. Registration can be confusing, people have to work when the polls are open or are not able to wait in long lines. Election Day should be a federal holiday. Those currently in office should be striving to increase voter turnout.
