No not at all that sounds like a extremely unhealthy relationship. 
I will ask his opinion on outfits like should I wear this or that, but he has never tried to control what I wear.

Control? No. Give me advice/tell me when something about my outfit bugs him? Yes. He doesnt pick my clothes or make me feel bad for ever wearing what I want. He encourages me to enjoy my style. But if we go hiking with his little siblings or we have dinner with his parents, if I'm wearing something he feels is.. for lack of a better word.. immodest/more revealing he will tell me and ask if I can wear something else for that occasion. Again theres no control there because I can say no to him and he will bite his tongue and deal, but out of respect I typically change and even then I love all my clothes so I dont mind. That's another thing. When we go shopping for clothes it is always my choice (I'll ask if he likes stuff to help me narrow what I want but my choices ultimately), he doesnt try to make me buy certain styles or anything. If you are in a relationship where you feel the need to buy new clothes because what you have already is "bad" or "not good enough" or is making your partner angry/jealous/insecure and you are constantly needing approval on how you look to just leave the house for a normal day then it is truly time to take a step back, take the rose colored glasses off and see the signs of abuse that may be surrounding you.

Haha not at all! I have a specific style of shirt he doesn’t love (I have about 10 in different colors/patterns in this exact same shirt style) but I just say “boooooo no body asked you!” 👎🏻 however, if he really likes something he always tells me how beautiful I looks 😊

Not at all. I would say that he influences how I dress, however. There are certain looks he likes more than others. But it’s not like he’s ever told me I can or can’t wear something. He’s just the only one I’m trying to impress
