4 pounds in one week?

At 36 weeks pregnant, would you call your doc/midwife to tell them? Or no?

Unless they told you call for weight gain I think you're fine. It might be extra water weight or the fact that digestion slows as we get closer to due dates. Try to drink tons of water if you're not already.

Only if there is swelling with it. I got checked for preeclampsia when I gained several pounds in a week with my second.

This happened to me as well! I’ve lost 20 pounds and wasn’t gaining any of it back and then out of no where gained like 5 in one week! I brought it up to my doc and she was not concerned!

Nope. I gained 5lbs this week according to the drs scale at my allergist who I saw this afternoon. However, I’ve been constipated, retaining water, swollen, etc.

If you don’t have any other changes, I don’t think it’s worrisome—but mine prefers for me to reach out if I’m on the fence to be safe.
