Single Artery Umbilical Cord and only one kidney see on f/u ultrasound
I had a follow-up ultrasound today at 29±weeks. This was a f/u to my anatomy scan I had at 22 weeks. During my anatomy scan they said everything looked great but I'd need a follow up due to not getting a good shot of spine and cord. Also that I had an accessory lobe placenta.
Flash forward to today and a different practice - I was told everything looked good with spine, growth was on point but baby girl has a single artery cord and tech couldn't find the right kidney. Doctors reviewed and are going to send me to the women's hospital for further testing and genetic counseling.
Has anyone ever experienced this? To say I'm worried is an understatement. I'm confused as to why my original doc didn't tell me of the missing kidney?
