When to do registry?

My baby shower is in January. Invites go out in November because my friends and family are literally coast to coast! I will tell my extended family after viability (last week in October) 
Have you guys done yours?

You can start working on it but keep it private until you are ready to tell people. But I would aim to have it mostly done when you send out invites. You can always add things along the way too.

I put October because for me, the sooner the better. It’s good to visualize what I’m aiming for in each category, and what my overall “haul” will look like. I have also bought several items myself that are must-haves, so I don’t feel nervous that they will be skipped over later.

I’ve already started mine but have it set to private. That way I can add and change things as I go and I’ll make it public once invites go out
