When to have maternity photos?

Around what we gestation are you having your maternity pics taken? I was planning on mine around 30 weeks. I did have them scheduled for like 27 weeks but pushed it back a few more weeks.

Photographer here! I generally prefer clients to book their sessions for 28-32 weeks. Any later, and I find that mamas are more exhausted, and uncomfortable in general. Not to mention, sometimes babies decide to arrive on their own schedule. 
I'm 22 weeks, and will be doing mine at 28 weeks.

We will probably do family fall and Xmas pics and of course I’ll be pregnant then. With two other littles I’m saying there as close to maternity pics as I’ll get.

I’m doing mine the last week of October, I will be 28 weeks. It’s really just your preference! I wanted to do a fall theme and since we are having him in January I didn’t want it to start snowing when I took my pictures. And if you don’t want to be super huge and uncomfortable while getting the pictures I would do it earlier than 35 weeks

I’ll be early November! My husband has a race that weekend and I want our cars in the photos. :)

I’ll be almost 31 weeks. My photographer said it’s usually a little later but with Thanksgiving and questionable weather I didn’t want to wait too long and have it not work out.

I think 30 weeks is a good timeframe! My sister is a photographer and that's when she's done mine. You don't want to do it at the end when you're really huge and puffy, etc. At 30 weeks I still look like myself, but with a cute bump 😁

We will be going likely middle of November 🙂 
Don’t want to go in the winter time when there’s snow and ice. 
Might even go end of October and utilize the fallen leaves and fall vibes ☺️

Doing mine at 27 weeks. They’ll be more Xmas/family pictures but since I’m also pregnant I guess they’re maternity too! Didn’t do any maternity specific pics last time because I just don’t feel great about myself when pregnant. Hoping I can find something good to wear this time!
