BV medication causing chest pain?!

Hey gals! So I just recently started taking a BV medication called metronidazole and I have been having some sharp and intense chest pain. I started it last wednesday, took 3 doses and thursday night was my last (3rd) dose because of the chest pain. I have never had chest pain before but it started soon after I started this medication. I called my doctor and told her about how i felt and she said it wasnt related to the medication because they said the only thing would’ve been related would be shortness of breath...ANYWAY i stopped taking them for a few days and the pain got better but now that I started the meds again today, the chest pain is back...does anyone have advice? I googled and found nothing, im just looking for personal experiences so I know im not going insane
