How do you play with your baby?

My baby is 5 months old and I feel like I’m not engaging with him the right way or enough to help his development. I’m not sure what to do, it seems like we do the same thing everyday.
Any suggestions for this age?

I read to mine, talked her through my day, lots of tummy time, narraring my day, singing, nature walks and asking questions. "Did mom just get water?" "Yes mom did get water." I felt like a nutjob at first but then just became normal. I narrate laundry like a nat geo wild safari documentary now haha. She always loves it though and I hope all my counting, colors, shapes, animals,  singing, everything pays off for her. If not I have spent the last 8 months in one long conversation with myself/a baby who cares less.

Try lots of tummy time, peek a boo, read books and use different voices for characters and put Emphasis on grammar marks (they crack up at that). Lots of talking and eye contact.
