When did you announce pregnancy at work?

Hi ladies, is there a standard way to announce pregnancy at work? Do I have to write something for my boss and for the HR? 
Is it enough just to talk to them or it has to be in writing?

I’m a SPED teacher so i work with aggressive behaviors so i told my team and principal ASAP. Everyone else just kinda found out lol. I didn’t have to have anything in writing, just a dr note as i got closer for FMLA paperwork

I let my department manager know right away so she wouldn’t wonder why I was leaving early or during a shift (doctors appointments, ultrasounds), and I told a few close coworkers, but everyone else is so gossipy and nosy that I let the rumors swirl. One lady found out and I know she told everyone, but I didn’t admit to it unless I was asked. By about 18 weeks everyone knew. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had to let them know as soon as I got the doctors proof of pregnancy. My job came with many risks. I ended up having to work somewhere is in my company.

The ladies I worked with all figured it out before I knew I couldn’t hide the fact that I felt sick and with 3 other pregnant ladies everyone kept jokingly saying “oh are you pregnant” and I have no poker face haha 
Everyone knew I was pregnant by the time I was 6 weeks 😅
Ideally I would have waited until 12-15 weeks

I kind of forgot to tell them 🤣. Everyone else already knew but I never actually went in and said something. I was about 24 weeks and my coworker asked me about what the dispatchers said (I drive school bus). I was like oops. Went up said “hey I’m pregnant who needs to know” lol

I knew I would go on medical leave pretty soon after I found out I was pregnant, so I told them quite fast so they could find a replacement for me. Think it was around week 12both times.

Depends on your job. I worked in the vet med field and dental field so I had to disclose early due to job risks. 
I told my supervisors and the discreetly told two other coworkers to help cover thing that I couldn’t do.
