Hi all. I had a very severe reaction to seafood many years ago and called to book my HSG and the doc said due to a possible iodine reaction which is unlikely, to be safe they will prescribe me a few doses of prednisone 14 hours before my test and then 50 mg of Benadryl before. Has anyone dealt with this and if so, had any side effects to the meds or test? I am ttc #2 for 5 months and over 35 so I’d like to get the test done, i had a c section 2.5 years ago with my first and it wasn’t emergency, but don’t know if all this is worth the risk and should keep trying for a few more months.
