Teething & uncharacteristic crying

I’m pretty sure my daughter is teething. She’s drooling uncontrollably (I can never really wipe it away), I see a little swelling & white on one little part of her gums, & she’s vigorously chewing on everything. The past couple days she’ll be perfectly fine one second, then start bawling the very next second. She usually calms down pretty quick, especially if I give her something to chew on & she’s normally a very happy, smiley baby. Is this normal with teething? She’s 4 months old & we see her pediatrician in 2 days so I’m really just wondering if anyone else has experienced this
