How do I have sex with my ex again after multiple partners?

My ex and I were together for 7 years before we broke up, we were each other’s first for literally everything. We did a lot of things sexually. And we were always very jealous and possessive when we were together. I admit that I was younger and now I’m trying to mature and let the past be the past. When we broke up, we both had multiple sex partners after. Two years later, and now we’re contemplating getting back together. We ended up having sex and I just couldn’t get into it thinking about all the girls he’s been with even though I know I’ve been with other guys. I’ve always been alittle insecure and an over thinker during sex. All I can think about when we’re having sex is did those girls sound better? Were they more flexible? Did he enjoy it more? Is he realizing that I’m a lot worse than he originally thought? Please help, I don’t know what to do about it. How do you get past the past? What helped you guys if you were in similar relationships? I admit that I was glad that he had gotten the experience before we even contemplated getting back together so I don’t know why it’s bothering me now when we have sex.

It sounds like you’re stepping into this with a toxic attitude again and if you continue to be toxic you will not last. Why? Because it is ok to have other sexual partners whilst he was single (as you did too) and if he is choosing to be with you after experimenting outside the relationship is because he wants YOU and because no one else made him feel like YOU did. So stop ✋ thinking about what he did when he was single and realise that this is not a comparison between you and the others, nor a competition, you are just 2 people choosing each other and if you step into that relationship doubting this then you’re not off to a good start.

Everyone has a past. You’ve got to let it go. Either you’re into him and want to be with him or you’re not and you don’t. Just need to figure out if that connection is still there to let go of the past

It sounds like y’all broke up for a reason... regardless you need to work on your own self esteem, it shouldn’t be hindering you from having sex with him. My husband had more sex partners with me and yeah it made me the slightest bit self conscious in the beginning, but got over it because he was fucking me and no one else.
