First time mom here so all kinds of anxious and nervous. I have Kaiser in Southern California and the upcoming strike pushed my prenatal appt to 10/18 when I would be 10 weeks and 1 day. I really wanted to be seen a little sooner and I finally got an appointment on 10/9, but it will be with a Midwife, not an OBGYN. I was told she would be able to do the ultrasound and everything else the OBGYN could do but I’m still nervous. I know midwives do help with delivery but that’s all I know. Any other moms have experience with a midwife for their first visit or at all?
