If you are in a toxic/abusive relationship just know it’s ok to leave. You do not need to explain yourself. And if you feel like you need help getting out of that terrible relationship ask for help. Ask a friend you can trust, or a family member or even the police. Trust me it’s going to be ok. ❤️ I’ve been in that boat for almost 2 years with my previous boyfriend. I lost a lot of people along the way through that relationship but that’s ok because I’m ok now. He mistreated me. Constantly lied to me, constantly cheated on me, when confronted he lied more and manipulated me by saying he was going to kill himself or harm himself if I ever left him because he “loved me so much”. I heard that every time I tried to leave. I finally realized he wasn’t going to do anything once I talked to a family member of his. He had threatened to hurt himself and said he had locked himself in the bathroom and was crying. I told his family member what was going on and they said that he was right next to them on the couch perfectly fine playing video games. He made me constantly look like the bad guy. He constantly told his and my friends that I was being mean to him and that I was hurting him and constantly played victim. It caused a lot of people to hate me. We constantly argued. After I finally had the courage to leave I had a lot of issues. I was scared to trust anyone again I thought no one would ever truly love me. Until 8 almost 9 months ago I met my boyfriend who has been truly amazing. He has truly taught me so much. Taught me to love myself, self respect, to work hard on what I want in life for myself etc. he treats me like a damn queen and I truthfully don’t think I could ask for anyone better.
