When to sterilize???

When are y'all planning on sterilizing your bottles, breast pump accessories, pacifiers, etc? I want to be prepared but I'm worried about sterilizing them too early...is that possible? 😅

I literally never sterilized my son’s bottles or pacis.🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm going to wait until baby arrives. I figure they will just sit around until then gathering dust or germs or whatever and I'd rather have everything fresh for him.

When baby comes so they are super clean. Or if I know I’m having a scheduled induction or c section, I will do the day before.

We sterilized the day before scheduled c section with our daughter. I say sterilize about a day or so before your due date, and if baby comes early, it’ll be okay! The hospital will provide pacis and such so you won’t be using dirty items..

I'll probably sterilize when i get them. That plastic smell from the box is gross.  But again before use. I didn't end up pumping until 3 weeks last time (I didn't know when I was supposed to start... FTM problems... so yeah first time they needed it twice).
It doesn't take long.

I already sterilized some bottles and my pump parts. I just wanted to get the manufacturers shit sterilized off of them... they’re okay in storage now until we use them.
