Regular detergent for baby clothes?

Did anyone use regular laundry detergent to wash their baby clothes? Just wondering if it’s really worth to buy the Dreft brand.. I know babies have sensitive skin, but just wondering if any other mommas just used regular detergent?

I bought one bottle of dreft and only washed baby clothes with it until it was gone and then used our regular detergent.

When I had my son, I ran out of dreft so I used regular detergent on a loud of his clothes. He ended up breaking out in a rash. So to avoid the risk of that again, I’ll be using dreft for this baby.

I use the same. If baby happens to be super sensitive to it then just change it up.

Any free and clear should be fine. The issues with regular detergents on baby skin is usually due to perfumes or dyes.
I use Tide Free and Clear or Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Free and Clear for everyone. My daughter has very sensitive skin and neither both her.

I use tide free and clear. Dregs is expensive and I don’t have the energy to do separate loads with different detergents.

I have sensitive skin myself, I use Tide free and clear. I just plan on using what I currently have no sense in buying dreft. Bought All free and clear once since it was on sale vs Tide, made me ridiculously itchy idk why 🤷‍♀️ so I just stick to my Tide now. No softeners or dryer sheets either. I do use wool dryer balls though.
