STD testing confusion! Anyone get false positives?

Hey y’all,

In August I got a Pap smear and the results that came back tested positive for chlamydia. I was quite shocked as I was in a 2 year monogamous relationship at the time. We broke up shortly after I had gotten the test done and let him know to get tested. Post breakup I did have unprotected sex with someone else (I know I know) before knowing my results and notified him as well.

Both sent me proof of their tests and neither of them had it. Is this common? Could my results be faulty?

I took a piss test for it the other day to be safe but WOW I’m gonna be pissed if it ends up being a false positive.
