is this amount of pain normal?

so for the past two days, i have had increasingly severe pelvic/pubic pain. when i walk or lift my legs in the slightest it’s absolute agony. i’m an icu nurse and it’s really affecting my ability to work and i don’t want to miss work. i have a pretty high tolerance, but i’m seeing stars. i know it’s probably ligament pain and the pelvis relaxing, but daaaaang i can’t function.

Same! Cardiology and cardiac surgery here. I can barely walk from our bedroom to our kitchen (no stairs) without having to stop. I almost vomited the other night because the pain was so bad. I think I have SPD or whatever it’s called. The skin/muscles around my pelvis are sore to the touch from being so angry. I get to sleep about an hour stretch at a time before I wake up in awful pain. It feels just like labor pains with my first but a 7/10 instead of a 12/10 (all back labor). I’m calling my OB today but I’m the same as you, don’t want to go out on maternity leave yet. But at the same time I’m worthless at work and at home.

Omg same!  I called L&D about this in the middle of the night I was in that much pain.

I've had this severe pain since 28weeks pregnant and with my first pregnancy at 20weeks.
It's called Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) .... will go away after birth.

is this amount of pain normal?
