Implantation bleeding or just another AF?

Ok so long story short , my period came 3 days early last month & was really light compared to before & no cramps. It also was kinda brown but only lasted 2-3 days on & off. I thought maybe it could’ve been implantation bleeding but didn’t want to give myself false hope. I’ve been trying to conceive for a while now with no luck. So this month i am now two days late . I’ve been emotional lately, but that’s the only difference I can tell. I took a test yesterday (couldn’t wait) but of course it was negative. Any thoughts ?? I know I have to wait it out . I’m hoping & praying for the best .
