Sex 3 weeks postpartum ??

We doctor never told me anything about this so I’m asking for advice before me and my partner do anything, I actually never thought there was a certain waiting period until my friend told me she had to wait 4 weeks. 
I had an extremely easy vaginal delivery and pushed for 4 minutes. I’m no longer bleeding and have been my normal active self for the past week. 
What do you ladies think?

I was told by a dr in hospital (within 24hrs of giving birth) that when infelt ready I could and the basic be safe.youre extremely fertile and any pain stop. I waited 10days

My doctor told me a week after I delivered that I could have sex when I felt ready. I had a vaginal delivery with stitches, can't remember how many lol! 
I think i waited roughly a month, and it was more so from being exhausted and not from being in pain! 
Better to get cleared from your doc just to be safe!

Just because you’re not bleeding and you’re back to your normal self doesn’t mean your insides aren’t still healing. Wait until you’re cleared by your doctor at your next appointment, otherwise you risk infection or simply interrupting your body’s healing process

I believe weeks is the typical recommendation. Your uterus is still healing and there is chance for infection. (Think about the giant wound left from where the placenta detaches)
