No longer sleeps through?!

Question

Help, I’m losing it. My son has been sleeping 7p-5a for over a month. Now suddenly he’s screaming crying multiple times a night. Anyone else?! Eventually I’m going in and soothing/feeding him but he doesn’t seem hungry or to have any other needs. He sucks his thumb and has been self soothing for months.
What’s going on?? He turned 6 mos on the 16th.  I teach in the morning and I am dying here.

It’s definitely an age thing! My 6 month old is doing the same. They get separation anxiety at this age too so could be that! I’m just putting it down to development and teething and growing and everything else that comes along with being a baby. It’s so tough!

Same boat here. We co sleep, and he will not go back to sleep until he is fed. Tried just letting him cry for a while, but he just would not. I'm assuming it's another growth spurt along with teething and whatnot.

My son has never ever ever ever slept longer than 2 hours a time at night. He has had a rough 6 months of life tho he had colic then was allergic to cows milk then he had open heart surgery has a hole in his heart then his scar got infected then to add all the leaps in and teething in to the mix. I asked the hospital why he still doesn’t sleep now he been fixed and they said it’s most likely habit now cuz it’s been the normal for his all his life

How long are you waiting before going in there? I would give it 20 minutes and if he's not winding down, go in to make sure nothing is actually wrong, give him a quick pat without lifting him from the crib and leave.

Could be the teething process starting. Try giving him baby Tylenol at his last feeding before putting him to bed. Another great thing is the frozen teething options. Also talk to your pediatrician and she what's she also recommends.
