Boyfriend doesn’t like my culture ???

hey guys so To start off I’ve been with my bf for a year and 6 months, he’s black (Ethiopian) and I’m Mexican . I’d say our relationship is great but we have a few problems here and there but nothing we can’t solve ! Through the months we’ve been together I noticed that every time I put Banda ( type of Mexican music) he always takes it off or gets frustrated and says to not put that music on when he’s there, like today his cousin and I were in my car and nothing was playing so I decided to just put in a cd that consisted of Banda and he told me to stop being so inconsiderate and that there was two people that didn’t understand my type of music and later on told me “ when your cousin was here you never heard me playing Ethiopian music” and I stayed quiet because I guess it was true but every time I put my music that’s In Spanish or it’s Banda he gets frustrated and takes it off .. I don’t know what to think of this but it kinda offends me so I’d love to know your thoughts on this situation!!! ( he listens to bachata tho In certain occasions but not as much )
