Insemination using menstrual cup/ other method?

Hi all, 
I'm TTC rainbow baby #1, cycle 3, I heard that when your man does his thing inside you to put a menstrual cup in straight away to stop anything coming out, so I've been giving it a try this month (works well! - estimated ovulation day today - decided to stop testing and just trust in mother nature) - I'm also doing the legs up method still.
My question is, for ladies who are pregnant or had children already, have you used this method before and did it work for you? Or are there any other types of insemination that helped you get pregnant?

Sperm gets where it needs to go in seconds. What comes out is the seminal fluid that carries the sperm. It’s supposed to come out.
Holding it inside you will only increase your chance of infection and uti’s.

The only thing I did was let it "marinate" for just a few minutes before getting out of bed lol. I dont know that it contributed to me getting pregnant, but it only took us one month of trying

Using a cup/putting your legs up only increases the chances of getting an infection. Sperm gets to where it needs to in seconds and it's just seman with very little sperm that comes out (and is normal to come out).
Obviously lots of people do it and dont get infections, but it doesnt increase/decrease your chances of conceiving.
