I'm nervous as I'm writing this. I recently had my annual pap smear along with hpv testing. I got a call from the Dr office and was told that I have HPV and there is nothing that is concerning, as it usually clears on its own within two years. Also, I don't need further testing right now and I should follow up within the next year for cotesting.

As I check my results on the patient portal, I seen the test was done for HPV Genotypes 16 and HPV 18/45. However the chart says HPV 16 RNA not detected as well as HPV 18/45 RNA not detected. I want to know what this means? I have an idea that it means it's not found but looking for opinions that may be helpful.
