Ellie as a full name?

I love the name Ellie. Does this work as a stand alone name? Or should I give her a longer name and shorten it to Ellie?
If so, please give me some ideas on longer names that can have the nn Ellie!

If you plan to call her Ellie just name her that. I never understood when people named their kid one thing but intend to call them something else so if you like just the name ellie go with that

I like longer ones so they have choice. Elliana or Elanor can both be shortened.

I love the name Ellie. But for job purposes and that sort of thing, we would want a longer name for her to use for that, and we would call her Ellie.
My husband and I both really like Elliot!
