I was at a family party with my fiancé. It was outside. So I put a long sleeve onesie and a light jacket and pants and socks and shoes on my daughter. I put her in her stroller and when she wanted to nap I put a light blanket over her to block the wind.

Well my fiancé has a cousin. Who used to LOVE me. She adored me. Said she loved me. Told my mom she loved me and I was the best. We were friends. Then one day she turned a complete 180. I have no idea why. I never did anything to her. We only talk in family events. I never say anything rude or mean to anyone or her because I HATE drama and I don’t feel any resentment to anyone.

At the family gathering it got dark so we put a heavy furry jacket on her and a blanket over here. She was inside for the most part but my mother in law (where party was held) didn’t like it when people were inside for a party so we went outside with the 2 layer of clothing plus a jacket and socks and boots and a big blanket around her. I decided it was getting wayyy to cold (65 F). So my fiancé and I made our way from near the jumper and into the house.

The cousin Looked at us. She started SCREAMING. “Why doesn’t she have a hat???” We looked at each other. Everyone was quiet. “You guys are wearing a hoodie but she’s not wearing a hat!!!!”. I tried to make it no big deal and laugh. One of my s/o’s family member told her “well (my name) is wearing no shoes or socks”. Not to mention I had no shirt under my hoodie.

I asked her if she had a hat my daughter could borrow because she had no hat could fit her anymore. “She started screaming no no no!” And she had this attitude in her voice. I then said “well then I’ll go inside then” real quietly. And then went inside and started crying.

My fiancé thought it was so rude because we constantly checked to see if our daughters nose and hands were cold by touching her forehead with our lips and she wasn’t.

My fiancé ended up going back outside and screaming at her to mind her business.

It was a mess. I had no idea why she randomly started to scream at me. Her 10 month old baby was in a SKIRT and a long sleeve shirt and boots and a hat but that was it. Even her older daughter had a leather jacket as an additional layer. I had no idea why she hated me now and I want to know why.
