What to expect after retrieval

My retrieval is tentative for oct 30th- when you they do the transfer after that? Do you continue taking meds? We are doing frozen to do embryo testing

After my retrieval, I waited for my period to start, which happened 6 days after retrieval.  At that point, we started 3 weeks of birth control.  When my next period started, I started estrace.  A week before transfer, I had uterine lining check and started progesterone in oil shots.  I had my transfer exactly 6 weeks after retrieval.  I stayed on estrogen and progesterone through 9 weeks of pregnancy.

My egg retrieval date is 10/30 also.. this is my first time, I’m nervous also because I don’t know what to expect. I am on BC pills now till 10/14, then I should start all my injectable stimulation meds. I am not doing a fresh transfer. Once I go through the retrieval, get my period again, then it would be transfer time! Good luck to everyone going through the same thing!

I had my egg retrieval 9/9 and ended up with mild ohss.  We did PGS testing and my period came just 6 days after retrieval.  We are waiting out this cycle bc my results weren’t in and my clinic wasn’t prepared well.  Don’t mind the wait to give my body a bit of a break to recover from a big batch of eggs retrieved.  My next cycle should be coming around mid October and first FET end of Oct/early Nov with my PGS normal embryo!  Good luck!

I am on the same protocol as Courtney mentioned. I had my retrieval 9/9. My period came after 14 days. I just completed my first week of BC. My transfer date is 11/7. I didn’t do a fresh transfer do to risk of OHSS

Good luck! I had my retrieval on Tuesday. I have to call them on day 1 of my period (which I think is starting now but it’s a Sunday). And they will go over next steps. Only meds I’m on now is Cabergoline for OHSS. 
My doctor is going to set up transfer protocol for me and I will have to have a hysteroscopy to make sure no cysts formed in uterus during stims. Once I’m in the clear from that we will start the next phase. Not sure what the transfer meds will be until we sit down with her but I’m guessing I’ll know more tomorrow when I call.
