Wrong Diagnosis?
So, on Friday, I saw a new doctor that has been added to my team of doctors. I started showing symptoms of "pcos" probably around 14 yrs old. I was diagnosed at 16. I've never had a period on my own and have maybe had 3 of them with medications. I'm 24 now.
Anyways to the point of this post, my new doctor doesn't believe that I have PCOS, she believes that I have cushings disease...
Has anyone had this happen, or even have both pcos and cushings? If you have cushings, how do they treat you for it?
My dr sent me for a large panel of bloodwork Friday, I had to fast and take a steroid pill friday night and redo blood work Saturday morning, plus I'm scheduled for more external and internal ultrasounds this week.
She wanted more information before she went over any kind of treatment plan, but I like to know what to expect.
