Flu shot for 3YO

Hello moms,

Just wondering where you get your flu shots for your 3YO ??

Pharmacy?? Or doctors office??

My 3YO doesn’t have any appointment until she’s 4 so I’m wondering if I can go to a pharmacy to get flu shot and it will be faster????

But what do they usually ask for there?

Is it safe and they will give the right dose for their age? Do they check their vaccine records?

Also have your children gotten sick after getting the shot?

Thanks!

Our doctors office calls us when the shots are in and we just call and make a quick appointment. They don’t even see the doctor a nurse will give them the shot

I just got my daughter a flu shot for the first time this year since she’s in preschool now. I called and made an appointment with her pediatrician. They checked that she was up to date on everything else. She got the shot and we were on our way.

Call your pediatrician’s office. They may have a procedure for flu shots (such as separate dates or times for walk in shots). Or they may want a quick appointment. But they won’t need a full well visit if your kiddo is up to date.
