Heavy ovulation bleeding?

Does anyone else every get ovulation bleeding that is actually red bleeding? I was having some spotting and I just finished my fertile week so I'm assuming it's ovulation bleeding. It's heavier than I would think that would be though. It's not so much that I need more than a panty liner or very light tampon, but when I went to the bathroom, it was bright red. I've also been having some problems with excessive spotting since I got off of birth control in June though. I'm hoping it stops. I'm worried that it might be annovulation too. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this or if something is wrong with me. I already have a doctor appointment set up for mid October, so I'll ask about it then. I'm worried this month I'm already out because I didn't ovulate and that's why I'm bleeding.😔
