miscarriage is a thief.

a thief of pleasant dreams because they are replaced with nightmares of re-living the miscarriage again.

a thief of surprising my husband with the next positive pregnancy test, because i’ve done it before & it ended in pain.

a thief of peace of mind.

sometimes i take a step back and look at newly pregnant women in awe, because they don’t have that fear. it doesn’t exist for them. they are basking in every ounce of happiness that they are pregnant. miscarriage, you stole that from me.

miscarriage, YOU’RE A THIEF.

because you’ll always live with us in many different ways.
