If your baby’s actual 1st birthday landed on another baby’s 1st bday party, would you go to the party? Considering you’re not throwing one?

My sons first birthday in on a Saturday. And my friend is having her sons first birthday party on that same Saturday. I’m not planning on throwing a party. But wondered if it’d be weird to attend for an hour or so since it’ll be his actual birthday.

Spending time with other kids and friends sounds like a fun way to celebrate if you don't already have plans. Why not go for an hour? Celebrating another person's birthday doesn't mean his birthday isn't important.

Just my opinion and maybe I'm just insensitive but..that's my childs 1st birthday and regardless of having a party I would have plans for my little ones big day even if that met cake and icecream just at home or to the park with my own family. That's something the friend would have to understand regardless. I would go visit the day b4 or day afterwards or drop off a gift quickly and say you have plans of your own. But no, I wouldn't attend another childs bday the same day as your own childs.

I would absolutely go! How much fun would that be for your little one? It doesn’t have to be all day! But I’m the end do what you feel comfortable with?

If I wasn’t throwing my son a birthday party I’d definitely go! Your baby will get to play with other babies and have fun! Plus it’s not like your going to be there all day so you can go home and still have most of the day to be with your birthday baby!

If your not doing anything why not support your friend and her baby. . . Im pretty sure your baby would have a lot of fun and more then likely yall babies will be friends. My friend isn’t having a party for her baby but is bringing her baby to my baby party all dressed up so they can take lots of pictures together.

I meant to put no. Only because we have a lot going on the day of her birthday party. But if I wasn’t throwing one on that day then I would go.
