How important is physical attraction ?

Ok so are you supposed to think your SO is the hottest thing? Should you not marry someone if you’re don’t think they are the handsomest guy you know? My boyfriend has a heart of gold and I love him so so so much... but I’m more attracted to his friend 😬 I don’t have an emotional connection with his friend tho. But when I’m around both of them I just think “dang he (the friend) is so hot”... is that wrong? Am I leading my bf on? I do plan to marry him and I tell him he is handsome but he isn’t staggering. I feel kinda guilty 😔 looks aren’t everything. And you can’t change yourself. I feel like I’m in love with my boyfriends soul but when I see other good lookers I don’t feel right 💔

Obviously physical attraction is important, but I think how a person treats you is more important.

Leave him. He deserves someone who loves him for him. My boyfriend is a little on the bulky side ( not fat but definitely not skinny ) but hot damn is he the hottest man alive in my eyes.
Personlity is EVERYTHING. Id rather date someone who no one else found attractive and that man be the sweetest most gentle and careing guy ever then date a hunk whos a total asshole.
You love someone for who they are. Not what they look like.
If you feel yourself " loving another " please leave who you're with. My mother always taught me.

I don't think I could be with someone unless I find them physically attractive. But I don't think they have to be "the hottest guy" or anything. I personally find my husband hot, but people have questioned my taste in men in the past😂.

I have certain traits that I’m instantly attracted to (eg height, shoulders, masculine). Then the personality makes me attracted with the traits and it’s ❤️ 🤷🏽‍♀️ (I’m old now... 30... when I was younger it was a little diff)

I once met a guy I was NOT attracted to AT ALL!!! I mean I really didn't think he was good looking to ME. But after talking to him and getting to know him I absolutely adored him and del hard for him. Ok I was 13 but it was my first relationship and eye opener that personality really had a lot more to do with attraction than I thought!

Its important to be attracted to your partner but there are all types of attraction. Also, love is more important than thinking your partner is the hottest thing on the planet. Being able to recognize attractiveness in others and still wanting to choose your partner is, to me, more a sign of maturity and deeper feelings than lust. People who choose to leave their partners over looks are not at that point in their lives. Physical appearances fade over time or can be gone in an accident. However love and respect between you and your partner has the potential to last forever. You probably just need time to mature and consider where your priorities lie.
