I never post on here, and I never will again probably, but I’m kind of at the end of my rope and I need some insight.
I have a friend that I have known for my whole life - we have always done everything together, we’re in a band, we make art together; we’re basically inseparable. But lately, her mental health has really worsened and often, she’ll have really bad mood swings that she will project onto whatever situation we are in at the time, and it makes it really hard for me to stay present/not get anxious since I have to constantly manage my own mental health stuff as well. I’ve tried to ask her if she is open to getting help, but she isn’t, and it’s gotten to the point where I have no idea how to help or what to do. Also, I am working full time at a preschool and am newly married, and I don’t have as much time to hang out with her as I used to; she has voiced that she feels like I am not being a present enough friend, but I literally don’t have any more mental energy left at the end of my days. I’m exhausted and I need help, haha.
